UPDATE

With the easing of COVID restrictions, we will now be accepting new volunteers and offering in person opportunities, including assisting with: oyster surveys, water quality monitoring, flow monitoring, salmonid return monitoring, invasive species pulls, native species planting, and more!

Volunteer Positions

Volunteering with us is a great way to gain experience in your spare time!

Most of our volunteer opportunities are field-based and take place during the summer months. Tasks can range from water quality testing on Colquitz River and Craigflower Creek to assisting on Olympia oyster surveys in the Gorge. We are always looking for people with strong stats skills to help out with reports and publications.

Become a Research Associate

Because our team is largely made up of early career scientists our experienced research associates are an important part of our organization that provide mentorship, guidance and expertise. Most of the time this work is done on a volunteer basis but contract work is occasionally available when we can find grant funding or secure fee-for-service collaborative projects.

Paid Positions

Sorry, there are no paid positions available at this time.

Check back regularly so you don’t miss out on an opportunity!
