Coastal Collaborative Sciences is a division of World Fisheries Trust (WFT), a registered charity in Victoria, BC. WFT started in 1995 responding to a need to protect the genetic variability of dwindling BC salmon stocks. We quickly diversified by adding local education and international projects to our portfolio. 

WFT has three divisions: World Fisheries Trust, focusing on international projects; Seaquaria Ocean Education, focusing on local marine education; and Coastal Collaborative Sciences, WFTs newest Division created in late 2020, focusing on local aquatic research, stewardship, and training of early career scientists.
